Lash lift or lash extensions: which to choose

Want a more defined look without daily mascara? The usual choice is between a lash lift and lash extensions. They work differently and suit different women.
What is a lash lift
A lash lift curls your own lashes upwards from the root. The lashes are placed on a silicone shield, and products shape and set them. We then tint and nourish them. Your eyes look more open and your lashes longer, without adding anything artificial.
The result lasts 5–6 weeks, the tint about 3–4 weeks.
What are lash extensions
With extensions, a synthetic fibre is glued to each natural lash. The result is more dramatic and you can play with length and volume, but it needs refills about every 2–3 weeks and more careful aftercare.
Comparison
| Lash lift | Extensions | |
|---|---|---|
| Result | natural, your own lashes | dramatic, synthetic fibres |
| Longevity | 5–6 weeks | refills every 2–3 weeks |
| Aftercare | minimal | no oils, gentle cleansing |
| Treatment time | about an hour | 1.5–2.5 hours |
Who a lash lift suits
- if your lashes are straight or point downwards,
- if you want a natural result nobody will recognise as "done",
- if you work out, go to the sauna or don't want to deal with refills,
- if you want to save time in front of the mirror in the morning.
Can it be combined with brows?
Yes. The most popular combination in our studio is the Deluxe Package: a lash lift and brow lamination in one appointment.
