How to become a lash & brow artist

Brow lamination and lash lifting are treatments in steady demand. If you want to start or improve, what matters most is quality training and practice.
1. Choose a course with practice on a model
You can read the theory on your own. The difference is trying the technique on a real model while the trainer corrects you as you work. Look for training in a small group or one-to-one so you get the attention you need.
2. Understand the technique, not just the steps
Every client has a different type of hair and lashes. If you understand why lashes over-curl or why colour does not take, you can control the result. Good training therefore also explains:
- the anatomy of lashes and brow hairs,
- choosing shields and rods for each client's eye,
- product timing by hair type,
- brow colouring and architecture,
- fixing the most common mistakes.
3. Work with proven products
Professional lamination systems give consistent results and are gentler on the hairs. In training you should work with them and know which to use for which client.
4. Photograph your work
Before and after photos are your portfolio. Good light, angle and a clean shot sell your work on Instagram better than any ad.
